Why Partnership Matters This Pride

Greetings community,

My name is Sante, and I have the honor of being the founder of Share Denver. I wanted to introduce (or reintroduce) myself and share a special video that delves into our mission and some of the exciting things we have happening.

Many of you have been with me on this incredible journey for years. Back in 2004, I started hosting events for swingers under the name In Vision. That same year, I also founded the Dance World at Denver Pridefest. Since then, our mission has grown and evolved, embracing not just the swinger lifestyle but also welcoming kink & fetish groups, the LGBTQ+ community, and now, all ENM communities.

Over the last two decades, we’ve found the biggest obstacles to achieving broader social acceptance aren’t always external forces but the internal divisions and conflicts within our own communities. Too often, we see groups or individuals try to undermine each other just because their opinions or interests differ. There’s a profound irony in fighting for one’s own personal freedom while simultaneously trying to suppress others. If we can’t foster understanding and harmony within our own communities, how do we ever expect to gain the acceptance we seek from broader society?

As we step into Pride season and our 21st year, I invite you to reflect on any misconceptions or stereotypes you might hold about other individuals or communities, and then seek to understand or even support them.  Look at the evolution of LGBTQ+ rights over the past 50+ years—none of it would have been possible without unity and teamwork. Even though L, G, B, T, and Q each represent different interests, they all share a common struggle for equal rights and social acceptance, and their collaboration has achieved remarkable results.

Here at Share Denver, our mission remains to normalize ENM as a valid relationship option for all adults. Time and again, we’ve seen the magic that happens when good people with shared interests and diverse personalities come together to connect and learn from one another.

We warmly invite you to join us at the ART Hotel in Downtown Denver on Saturday, June 22, for our Share Pride Patio Celebration. Connect, mingle, dance, and meet people from all walks of ENM as we celebrate our diversity and the freedom for all consenting adults to have the relationships of their dreams.

Wishing you a joyful and vibrant Pride Month!

With limitless love,

Sante
